Autogen (“we”, “us”) is an AI assistant that turns a topic into an X (Twitter) thread. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the third-party services it passes through. If anything here is unclear, email us at vidhi.vchaudhary@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account data — email, name (if provided), and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and a Google account ID.
- Content you create — topics, tones, generated threads, edits, regenerated hooks/images, and clips you attach.
- Source material — public YouTube transcripts and clips that the agent fetches in response to your topic.
- Technical data — generation traces, model usage, and cost metrics, kept for debugging and quality.
How we use your data
- To run the thread generator and show you your history.
- To improve output quality and diagnose failures.
- To publish a thread to X on your behalf — only when you click Post on X.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your generated content to train third-party models beyond what each provider's own terms specify (see below).
Third-party services
Generating a thread routes prompts and intermediate text through these providers:
- Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic — large language models for writing and reasoning.
- YouTube / Google APIs — to discover and fetch public source videos.
- Cloudinary — to host generated images and trimmed video clips.
- Typefully — to schedule and publish to X when you opt in.
- TiDB Cloud — encrypted database (MySQL-compatible) where accounts and threads are stored.
- Google Cloud Run — application hosting in asia-southeast1 (Singapore).
Cookies & local storage
We store an authentication token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete individual threads from your History page. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at vidhi.vchaudhary@gmail.com from the address tied to your account, and we'll process the deletion within 30 days.
Children
Autogen is not intended for users under 13. Do not create an account if you are under that age.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice when you next sign in.
