Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account data — email, name (if provided), and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and a Google account ID.
• Content you create — topics, tones, generated threads, edits, regenerated hooks/images, and clips you attach.
• Source material — public YouTube transcripts and clips that the agent fetches in response to your topic.
• Technical data — generation traces, model usage, and cost metrics, kept for debugging and quality.
• Usage data — how you move through the app, your device and browser, approximate location from your IP, and recordings of your sessions. See Product analytics & session recording below.

How we use your data

• To run the thread generator and show you your history.
• To improve output quality and diagnose failures.
• To publish a thread to X on your behalf — only when you click Post on X.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use your generated content to train third-party models beyond what each provider's own terms specify (see below).

Third-party services

Generating a thread routes prompts and intermediate text through these providers:

• Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic — large language models for writing and reasoning.
• YouTube / Google APIs — to discover and fetch public source videos.
• Cloudinary — to host generated images and trimmed video clips.
• Typefully — to schedule and publish to X when you opt in.
• TiDB Cloud — encrypted database (MySQL-compatible) where accounts and threads are stored.
• Google Cloud Run — application hosting in asia-southeast1 (Singapore).
• PostHog — product analytics and session recording, processed in the United States. See the section below for what this covers.

Cookies & local storage

We store an authentication token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Our analytics provider (see below) also sets a cookie and a local-storage entry to recognise your browser across visits.

Product analytics & session recording

We use PostHog to understand how the product is used, so we can find where it breaks and what to improve. Analytics data is processed by PostHog in the United States.

What we collect:

• Usage events — pages you visit, buttons you click, and product actions such as requesting topic suggestions, generating a thread, rating it, or publishing.
• Device & browser — browser, operating system, device type, screen size, and language.
• Approximate location — country, region and city, derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise or GPS location.
• How you found us — the referring site and any campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you arrived on.
• Session recordings — a replay of your interactions with the app: pages viewed, mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, together with the content displayed on screen. This can include your own account details, such as your email address where the app shows it, and the topics you enter.

Once you sign in, this activity is linked to your account so we can see how real usage flows end to end. We send your account identifier and the domain part of your email address (for example gmail.com) — never your full email address — as analytics properties.

We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone other than PostHog acting as our processor. If you would prefer not to be recorded or measured, email us at support@ragx.in and we will exclude your account.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete individual threads from your History page. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at developer@ragx.in from the address tied to your account, and we'll process the deletion within 30 days.

Children

Autogen is not intended for users under 13. Do not create an account if you are under that age.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice when you next sign in.
